Mother's Day (a prayer)

Doctrine & Covenants 46:32 " And ye must give thanks unto God in the Spirit for whatsoever blessing ye are blessed with."

Thank you THANK YOU thank you THANK YOU thank you. I've had lots of different feelings on mother's days past and lots today, but mostly just this one:
THANK YOU, my dear Heavenly Father.

Oh my goodness!! YOu look GORGEOUS. It doesn't even seem like a real mom and her family, it is like they took some model and set up a bunch of kids around her for a picture for a magazine and you're like "Yah, cute picture, but that lady has no idea what it is to really have all those kids." Crazy.

And, when did Grace's hair get so long? I swear it is MUCH longer than it was at Christmas time. It looks lovely.

Lastly, just think if Jason was in the picture -- then I could have a new picture of your family for my metal board in the kitchen . . . because the one I have only has Miles as a newborn. Could you make someone take a pic of all of you one day so new baby girl can be in your family?? (Even though I know Jason hates having to sit for pictures).

i'm with nancy -- you are so beautiful! and you have a beautiful little family ...

your post reminds me of saturday - before mother's day. i happened to be at the grocery store with my mom, and i was holding will in my arms. a woman stopped to ask how old and then said to me, "God bless you." and then proceeded to explain to me that she didn't mean that in the way people usually say it (like holy cow, you have four, you need lots of blessings! :) ), but in the way that I am blessed to be a mom. how right she is ... how blessed we are.

thank you! you girls are too sweet. you're a good sister, nancy, for making me feel so good about myself. luckily you can't really see my post-pregnancy midsection. :) but its all good. i try to not think about it except to tell myself the epiphany i told you--it took my body 9 months to get this way, i have to give it at least that long to get back to where it was--right? but yeah, too bad jas isn't in it. he had to take it because i really wanted a pic with all 5 of my kids because i felt so happy. maybe i can just photoshop his head into it. and isn't that a cute fabric corsage (rosette) that grace made for me in activity days? i don't know when her hair got so long but she is adamant she wants to keep growing it and i think its beautiful, so fine by me. deedsy has our thinner, slow-growing hair.
