As any of you who read my blog regularly or know me are already aware, adoption is very special to me. November is National Adoption Month and I would like to share a couple of videos that have touched me.

Shannon, that was way too much and way too sweet. Aaah the children.
Sometimes I get so caught up in the day to day survival of parenting that I forget just how blessed I am to have these incredible children in my home...
In watching others struggle through the adoption process, desperately wanting their children home, yet experiencing one frustrating delay after another... I sometimes don't dare advocate for adoption because I see and personally know the pain involved in waiting. But then... something like this comes along and reminds me that without those rare souls who do reach out their hearts and souls and time and lives... there would be no happy endings and those children would never find their homes.

Crystal, I feel just the way that you do. When somebody thinks they are interested in adoption, especially from Haiti right now, I think, "No! Its too hard! It will kill you!" and the other part of me thinks, "Yes! You absolutely must do it!"
Shan -
What I don't get is - if there are so many orphans/foster children who need homes - why is it so difficult to adopt? Why is it so expensive, so time consuming, etc.?
Thanks,
Marz
