What We've Been Doing While the Kids are at School

 Mostly my time is spent cleaning the house or doing laundry while the big kids are in school but these are the memories I'll prefer to keep:

The weather suddenly turned nice this week and I have been in heaven.  So have the kids.  I've gone walking with the babies in the stroller every morning in the 75 - 80 degree weather.  They both love being outside.  Finn usually talks to whole time or sings me songs that go something like this:  "I am a child of God and He has sent me here...to be a Sunbeam...a Sunbeam! If you're happy and you know it then your face will surely show it...still all my songs shall be, nearer my God to thee...E-I-E-I-O."

The other day I needed a magnifying glass to help remove a splinter from one of the littles and I couldn't find one.  Next time I was at the store I bought me a pair of cheap reading glasses to use for future instances.  Finn has adopted them as his own.  He'll forget about them for awhile then he'll ask out of the blue, "Where my glasses, Momming?"  And yes, I did write "Momming".  For awhile all his sentences ended in "Ma" this week its, "Mom-minG" with a hard G on the end.  Hm...

These pictures are cute and sad.  Finn fell out of the van directly onto his face on the cement in the driveway while trying to exit by himself.  But if you look past the battered face you will notice that he's wearing his earrings.  "My earrings, Mom?  I have my earrings?  Where are my earrings Mom?" he asks, then carefully places Deedle's earrings in his ears.

Out of the blue the other day Finn said to me, "You're awesome, Mom!"  He also said, "Mom!  You're SO pretty!"  I try to video these two little ones as often as possible.  I don't ever want to forget what Finn's voice sounds like when he sings to me, "Happy Birthday to you Mommy!!!Cha-Cha-Cha!" or Lila's voice when she sees me and squeals and begins to coo.  Three years ago I would not have guessed that I would be back in the "throes of motherhood" with babies again, but I am so grateful that I am!
