A Rare Moment

Lila and Miles hardly ever overlap on naps.  This makes it tricky to get stuff done around the house, or especially with moving, since I don't ever have a time with out at least one little one needing my attention. A little while ago there was an afternoon where I had just put Lila down and Miles was still asleep.  I was very relieved to just have a quiet time for a moment.  However, Miles promptly woke up.   I was a little peeved but then something magical happened.  My little Miles used to sleep with me all of the time.  He has been my best sleeper of all.  I have missed these moments and I had to just take a few photos with one hand with my cell phone because I felt SO happy and at peace to have him fall back asleep in my arms like this.

Ha! Well I'll be! I just emailed you that I added your address to the blog thing and then I mentioned how I just use googlereader so I checked it and lo and behold . . . new . . . from you! I love your snuggly little man and we are in the same boat right now of Anders basically needing a nap on either side of when Jesse naps. But . . . even worse . . . all my kids have napped nearly 'til kindergarten. Penny gave it up a little earlier, but now I am noticing that Jesse never falls asleep and is goofing off 'til 10 or so every night in his bed, so I really think he is ready to ditch nap time . . . but he is only three . . . and I really really need my break from the sweet little dear each day so it is going to be tough. I think I have pretty much always had my two hour kid-free break each day and that is all becoming a thing of the past. Cry.
