Hey, look what's at the end of the rainbow. It's home! I think I already knew that. I try not to think about what my "dream home" might be anymore. It used to be fun to ponder on that, but I prefer not to even do that any more because it usually ends up with me feeling less happy with my current circumstances. In truth, I am extremely blessed and love my home--especially because of the people who reside in it!

Pot of Gold

It is a nice thing to feel content! I felt content with my home and then I unwisely decided to remodel my kitchen. Now I'm just feeling overwhelmed. But boy, the pot of gold is coming and so is contentment when this experience is over! (And for the record, I'm still in the ordering and choosing phase.)
It's nice to love your home. I remember living at the Fruitland house and feeling sad it was old and had lame carpet, etc. Then I decided to pray how grateful I was for it and before long all I could think was how dreamy it was to have my huge yard and my little old house. Besides, I don't think that the perfect house can make you appreciate your home -- you just have to yourself. Here I am in this house that is way more gorgeous than I would ever have imagined I'd have, and since being here, all I have thought about is the things that need fixed and the things that don't look right, etc. Strangely, it was this very Saturday that I was driving home and I thought, "time to be in love with my place -- the streets I drive to my house, the ins and outs of my home" -- I'm so much happier when I decide to pray in gratitude for something that is mine and then I really do start to love it. Nice rainbow right to your house by the by!
So sweet Perlisima! I love that you appreciate more and more what you have and what God has given you. This is what life is all about!
Your right. Don't think about it. Besides I had my "Dream home" with out the dream yard that is and it wasn't all that it is cracked up to be. Good thing - because we lost it and now we are living in a basement. I would much prefer to have my family near me and go on lots of fun vacations with them than pour all of my money into a big house.
what a great picture. :) and i'm with nancy - i think it's up to us to apprecitate what we have, no matter what-and if it's our dream house or not. i think the best part, like you, is what's in our house - or should i say who is in our house. :)
Perla I love your new profile picture! You are STUNNING! I truly believe that you have to find happiness no matter where you are physically, mentally, spiritually. You are a gracious example of this. I love the quote, "Love grows best in a little nest." Keeps me focused on the 'now'.
Very Cool Shan!
