It is birthday season around our house. Deedle turned six yesterday. She made it easy on me. She wanted to go out to eat for dinner, so I didn't have to cook. We went to Chuck-a-rama (her choice). For her cake, I just had to bake a mix and she wanted to decorate it herself, which she really enjoyed doing.

Her favorite gifts were her "Baby Alive" doll, a hula hoop, and gum ball machine.
Here are a few pics from the "friend party" she had on Friday. It was a Halloween/Birthday party so the kids all dressed up.

Her birthday turned out to be a happy day. I was very glad about that because she has been going through a bit of a difficult time. She has a lot of frustration and anger issues and I am not sure how to help her. I am praying a lot and am going to try a few things that I hope will help. I just want her to be happy. She has always been rather feisty and my little spit-fire. She is hilarious and makes us laugh. I love to hold her and snuggle her to my heart. But recently she has become more and more unhappy. She is angry and fighting and having a difficult time controlling her emotions for a large % of the day. I am hoping that it is just a phase and that along with some other things we are trying, she will be happy and enjoy her childhood. Here's wishing you a wonderful year, sweet heart! I love you fiercely!

That video made me laugh my head off. her moves were so ultra fast and tiny jerky that it didn't even seem real. So cute. And check out the cool quick pose she flashes at the end of her first hula session.
I forget that your Ocotber is like my August what with all the many birthdays and celebrating! And I am just loving all these cute pictures you've taken or had taken by Endless Photos - is that your sister? Very nice!
Have fun eating all the cake!
Happy Bday Deedle! May the coming year be one of peace and no more frustrating things to get upset about..... Deedle and I are two of a kind with our feistiness. Love her!
Like Nancy, I really liked the video and the way her hips didn't go around but just really fast back and forth and also that she learned "stuff" at dance. And not just any "stuff", but stuff she already knew. Two very darling birthday kids!!

Wow, Happy Birthday to Loumy and Deedle. We love you!
What a pretty girl. I hope this year is full
Of fun and love for her
Sounds like you guys have been having all sorts of birthday fun over at your house!! My Kade would be so jealous of that light saber cake!! We have birthday month in June at our house- lots and lots of cake!! I think I gain a good 5 pounds because I have no will power against it. Okay, I will stop babbling now. Happy fall to your family!
So good to see you and that cute little gal. Does she like school? Nick didn't for the first year and he got a little angry about it.
Anyway, see you later.
Shan I love her hoolahooping. Esp. the still picture of it. And I love the candle glow on her face and she decorated her cake so cute! That is a great idea. I am seriously remebering me having major anger issues at that age and a little older. I would get so mad and frustrated I remember kicking the closet door until it broke and fell on me. I even remember being so mean to poor Herman from sudden rage and frustion. And I feel fine. My little Will was so so angry for so long and is slowly come out of it. Now Joe is there, a lot! I know that it is so frustrating as a mom. Especially one as calm and sweet as you. I think since I am a tempermental person anyway I can relate and it doesn't worry me. I think it is a stage. I really do. I say a year from now you will almost forget how it was...But still I know it can make you sad to see your little one looking so sad. I love you, Meg
she is so very cute and i LOVE the pic of her and the cake, when it's dark -- like she's contemplating some wonderful wish. good stuff.
i hope your "helps" for her work. we're dealing with a little bit of that ourselves, so if you have any tips i'd gladly take them. :)
