Is it a Compliment?

When the guy that comes to deliver your dry wall says to you, "You look good for your age." Is that a compliment? What does he think my "age" is? He seemed to be giving a compliment so I'll just take it that way.

HAH! I wouldn't be to worried that he thinks you look old. Besides if I were there he would have asked how much older I was than you.

Pooka makes an incredably ggod point. Where was the emphasis?

Well, you do look good for your age considering that you are 50. Dang girl.

Also, thanks for the props on the last post. I love the story of the chex mix in Haiti.

Thanks for today -- sling mistress -- you are a gem!

Pooka, this guy happened to be second generation mexican with quite a cholo accent and he said it, "you look GOOOOD for your age." the first part he said almost a little too creepily but then he added on the "for your age" and so then i was a bit confused. because he had never met me before and has no idea how old i am. maybe he did think, "you look good for 50" which wouldn't necessarily be a compliment. but anyway, it was funny.

I agree and say you should just take the compliment as a compliment, even if it was a bit creepy. Maybe he is into teenagers and was thinking you are not 16, but gooooood loookin!

The real question here is if Chancho thinks you look GOOOOOOD for your age. I would venture to bet in the affirmative.

He's right, you do look good for your age. Which of course is 21.

Nice Blog. It's Russ Dickson. Your family is looking good for your age too. Good luck with the boy.

I get this one when the local casino guys card me (yes, I gamble :) ... "Wow, I never would have guessed you were THAT old."

Gee ... thanks.
