- This is not a beauty parlor or a tattoo parlor. It is Perla's parlor. Why a parlor? I have always wanted to have a parlor. Webster's says a parlor is, "a room set aside for entertaining, a small semi-private sitting room. I heard that the word "parlor" comes from the French word, "parler" or "to speak". One website said that, "The parlor was always the best room." I don't really know what that means specifically but if it was written it must be true. So, this will be my best room for chatting or reading and entertaining guests. In the evenings, after the kids are down I can finally do as so many of my most beloved fictional (and non-) characters have done in the past...I shall retire to the parlor. And you can trust that unlike most parlors that are still in existence today, this parlor is not haunted.

WoooHoo!! I am so so happy your little man is FINALLY just here -- with us. I could have just stayed and held his puny snuggly self all night and when I came home I looked at Jesse and thought "My but what a big head you've got"

Hooray! I am so happy your family is complete at home! I cried when I watched the footage on the little guy. He is too sweet and I can't wait to meet him.

Thanks for the report Sis! I meant to call you all day to see how he was doing and if he is eating all right and everything. You look wonderful in the picture of you and Jason holding the baby and I have to agree that the only good thing is that you have had four weeks at home to get caught up so now you can just totally relax with our little Finn. I already love him so much but of course I was one of the "lucky ones" who got to go and hold him in the hospital. He is the sweetest little guy ever. So, so happy!! Love ya, Kath
