I turned thirty-seven on Sunday. It sounds very strange to me. Thirty-seven is late thirties. At this age you are pretty much too old to be having any more babies and you should really act respectable most all of the time. There is absolutely no youth left in you at thirty-seven. How strange. I think I'm still 26. Chancho thinks I'm 36. That's why the kids added an extra candle. But cool of him to buy me the cake and such festive candles! He also bought me some VERY generous gifts that I was not expecting at all--the best of which is a new telephoto lens! Hurray!
Some birthdays seem pretty much the same as the birthday before. But this past year has been full of change. Last July 31st we were still in our home in Riverdale, where we'd been for the past 8.5 years. I didn't even know I was pregnant. And now. Look. What craziness. What blessings.Aaron's birthday gift to me was a letter with the following (I'd prefer to have his handwriting on here but can't find our scanner):
Places to Go: Bear Lake, Yankees, Jackie Hearn, the Hollow, Topper's, Jakes Over the Top, Le Beaus, Ricks Spring, Tony Grove, Ogden High Swimming Pool, Days of 47 Rodeo, Stimpsons, Loren Farr Pool, Eagle's Cave, Canyon Cove Pool, the Cemetary
People to Hang With: Mike Valaar, Brenda Ballantyne, Fasi, Shelly Garceau, Mrs. Parilla, Patti 'n Kelly, Giang, Orson and Horald, the FPC, Mr. Bundy, the SVC, Coach Terry
Things we Did: Late Night Movies at the Newgate, Breaking Land Speed Records on Mike Cook's Intercepto, Double Dates at the Dam, All-Night Volleyball, Driving Backwards at the Cemetery, Hiking to Hidden Valley, Dinner on the River Walk, Twist Cones at Hardees
