String Cheese begged for a "friends" party this year. We have always had a party for her but it was mostly just family. This year she wanted a time with "just friends". So, on Saturday I through a party for her. She loved it. There were just 10 kids but it seemed like a lot to me! Half of the kids were her "big girl" cousins--Maddie, Charly, Kate, and Daisy. She also invited long-time friend, Olivia Ozmun, Lindi from 1st grade, and Meghan from church. And her siblings were there, too.
The kids ate a lovely Barbie cake, decorated gingerbread houses (made of graham crackers), played some games and did a lot of screaming and giggling.
Tonight we had Jason's side of the family over for pizza, salad, drinks, cupcakes, etc. String Cheese received a lot of presents and said that she had a very, very happy day. ::whew::
Here are the kids posing in front of their game of "tape the nose on Rudolph" with cousins Maddie and Colby, and Unky (Uncle) T.

You are as lucky as me to have December birthdays. I was feeling sorry for myself. Not as bad when someone else is suffering along with you.

AWS! I am so sad I didn't know about my little sweets b-day... I will have to get her some gum or something great like that!
