During some deep cleaning recently I found a cookbook that was created in Deedle and String Cheese's preschool last year. The children were to come up with the recipes for their favorite foods. My girls were more logical than creative. Deedle said that she likes ramen noodles and cookies, but Dad makes the noodles and Mom and SC makes the cookies. She wrote, I "get to put in lots of sugar and nothing else." So, how would she know how to make them?
String Cheese was adamant that her favorite thing was a crisp bean burrito and you can NOT make them, you must BUY them from Taco Maker. She did make sure to let everybody know that they have beans inside and, "They are really good for a cold day. They are warm."
A couple of others gave their recipes very matter-of-factly. These were two of my favorites:
If you ask me, the strawberry cake doesn't sound all that strawberry-like, except maybe the scrubbed on frosting part. And Sam's poor mother obviously tried to pull one over on him by using Spaghetti instead of Ramen Noodles one day when he was demanding them and they were out and she was exasperated and insisted to him that yes, the spaghetti was indeed Ramen, even if it didn't look the same.

I love, love, love the preschool quotes. I'll have to go rummage through some old books and find the good ones my older daughter used to dictate. She was always so insightful - so insightful it scared me - then and now.
Okay, hours later and I'm still laughing hysterically that you have ML in your backyard! How do things happen to girls like us? I'm always the one stumbling upon things that need police assistance ..... were you in a skimpy little nightie with a low batteried flashlight when you found them?
Good thing you've got that big mushy, lovey dog to keep you and your wee ones safe.
One time I called the FBI because.... oh, never mind. I'm too embarassed about that one. Still not able to blog about it. Maybe some day when I'm more brave and the blog has torn a few outer layers of my near raw self.
I've been wondering why my strawberry cake never worked. I will try ice next time. Yummy!
Still Laughing.
Just FYI .. the regional head guy of the FDEA lives across the street. Really. I have connections should you need them.
Still Laughing. At your expense.
And I may have to post again later.
Ohh how I alughed at the scrubbed on frosting and the ramen noodles. That was good.
P.S. WHat is ML in your backyard?
OK, so I went to Jana's blog to see what an ML was, and now I know. You might want to go see the comment I added there telling you to quit being such a sissy pants about it!! :)
So funny!!
So funny. Tell SC that she is right about Crisp bean burrito's. They only make them at Taco Maker. I've looked every where in Vegas for something similar and they do not exist. They must be impossible for anyone else to make but Taco Maker.
I'm back on google. Whew!
I emailed you from your profile...you can email me from my profile if you like....
that is a cute idea for the teacher to do. Also just wondering if you got what you wanted for mothers day? P.S. About Book Club yes we have it every month I just slacked on the blog, but its on the side bar.
